Lenovo’s ThinkBook Plus Gen 6 Rollable Display Laptop Now Available, Priced from $3,300

At CES 2025, Lenovo showed off the ThinkBook Plus Gen 6 Rollable – now available for $3,300. It’s not about being conventional, it’s about redefining what a device can do. The star of the show is the 14 inch OLED screen that rolls out to 16.7 inches with a button press.
The 14 inch OLED display has a 2000 x 1600 resolution. Press a button and it expands to 16.7 inches at 2000 x 2350. 50% more workspace without a second monitor. With deep blacks, 100% DCI-P3 colors, 120 Hz refresh rate, and 400 nits brightness, it’s a visual treat for coding, editing or streaming. Fully extended it’s two 16:9 screens stacked. Code above, notes below. Rolled down it’s 5:4 ratio is perfect for reading or browsing. A versatile tool for work or play.

Under the hood is an Intel Core Ultra 7 258V Lunar Lake processor, 32GB of LPDDR5x-8533 RAM and a 1TB PCIe Gen 4 SSD. It’s fast for video editing or data crunching. WiFi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, 5MP IR webcam and fingerprint sensor keep it modern, while a 66 Wh battery with 65W USB-C charging promises solid endurance. At 3.73 pounds and 0.8 inches thick, it’s portable but heavier than a typical 14 inch laptop.
Connectivity is limited to two Thunderbolt 4 ports and a 3.5mm audio jack, so you might need a dongle. The backlit keyboard feels snappy and stereo speakers are clear but do not steal the spotlight. Lenovo’s engineering fits this tech into a slim frame but durability questions remain—how will it hold up after thousands of rolls? Early tests seem to suggest reliability but long term use will tell. This is the future of the laptop, a way to scale your workspace on the go.
Availability is also intriguing. Lenovo’s site lists it as “temporarily unavailable” in some regions, implying limited stock or a slow roll out. Put simply, it’s a functional yet extravagant device for those who can afford the vision, a way to work and create that gets you excited for what’s next.
