New DJI Osmo Nano Leak Camera
DJI is about to disrupt the action camera world with the Osmo Nano, a tiny device that has been flying under the radar of leaks and rumors. With Insta360’s Go Ultra already making waves, the Osmo Nano is about to enter the ring, promising portability and clever design.

The Osmo Nano is inspired by DJI’s Action 2, a cube-shaped camera that introduced modular design to the action camera world in 2021. Unlike the bigger Osmo Action 5 Pro, this new device is designed to compete with Insta360’s Go series, which currently holds the lightweight title. Leaked images show a small camera module that attaches to a main body with an OLED screen, all held together by magnets. This allows users to remove the camera and attach it to ferromagnetic objects like hats, clothes or even a dog’s collar for ground-level POV shots. Magnetic mounting is super versatile and allows for creative perspectives that bigger cameras can’t, making it a dream for video creators who want hands-free footage without the hassle.

Storage options for the Osmo Nano come in two flavors: 64 GB and 128 GB, with support for a microSD card to expand capacity. Pricing suggests DJI is going head to head with Insta360. The 64 GB model will retail for €369 (around $431) and the 128 GB version will be €399 (about $466). That’s a direct shot at the Insta360 Go Ultra which starts at €429 in the Eurozone. By undercutting its rival, DJI is trying to carve out a piece of the compact camera market, offering a budget-friendly option without sacrificing functionality.

Product sheets leaked show a design more like the Insta360 Go 3S than the newer Go Ultra. The Osmo Nano’s camera module is described as small and square with a magnetic pod that can adjust its polarity to stick to any surface. This is unlike traditional action cameras that rely on clunky mounts or adhesives. You can control the camera through the main unit’s screen or keep it attached for a more conventional setup with DJI’s standard GoPro-style mount. Accessories like magnetic clips for clothing or pet collars further expand its possibilities, so you can capture skateboarding runs or a dog’s-eye view of the park.

What’s still under wraps is the camera’s sensor size and image quality. Action cameras struggle in low-light conditions compared to bigger-sensored devices. The Osmo Action 5 Pro improved in low light but the Nano’s tiny form factor might limit its performance. Being able to stick it anywhere (without risking a expensive smartphone) makes it a great tool for capturing dynamic first-person footage.

Rumors suggest the release date will be September 10, 2025, while analysts predict that DJI will release a teaser soon, probably in early September to build up the hype.
