Samantha Lockwood talks ‘A Line of Fire,’ and working with Jason Patric

Actress Samantha Lockwood chatted about the film “A Line of Fire,” and working with Jason Patric.

The synopsis is: After his wife passed, ex-secret agent for the FBI Jack Conry aka “Cash” left it all behind to dedicate himself to his two daughters. Despite a fulfilling life at home in Miami, Cash misses his calling to make an impact and is considering a return to the force.

The decision is made for him when a friend calls for help, launching Cash back into a dangerous underworld of corruption and intrigue. The movie stars David A.R. White, Scott Baio, Jason Patric, and Cuba Gooding Jr.

How was your experience in ‘A Line of Fire’?

It was an incredible experience — such a powerful story and a fantastic team.

What was it like working opposite Jason and Cuba Gooding Jr.?

Jason was amazing to work with — so much presence and intensity. I didn’t share scenes with Cuba, but I loved watching his performance.

I felt blessed to be part of a project with so many experienced talented actors.. this is always how we learn and grow as actors. 

What did you like most about your character?

I like that her character has a twist and that she’s not just a one dimensional “bad girl”. 

What motivates you each day?

As a person, staying healthy in body and spirit. As an actor, taking on projects that challenge me and always bring my best work forward.

I always feel like best work is still to come which is exciting and motivating for me!

What do your plans for the future include?

More challenging roles, expanding my Fleurings jewelry brand, and meaningful collaborations. 

How does it feel to be a part of the digital age?

It’s exciting — streaming lets us reach global audiences instantly and watch things from different countries that we didn’t have easy access to ten years ago. 

What would you like to say to your readers about ‘A Line of Fire’?

A Line of Fire is an entertaining, fast-paced, high-action film that really keeps the audience on its toes.

What I appreciate most is that, while it delivers on suspense and excitement, it also maintains a grounded, down-to-earth approach.

There is no unnecessary nudity or overwhelming gore — it’s about the story, the performances, and the human element.
