The Pixel 10 is launching on August 20, 2025 and the latest leaks give us a clear picture of what to expect. Renders show a device that looks like a sibling to the Pixel 9 but with some interesting changes that could change our perception of the flagship series.
The Pixel 10 comes in four colours: Obsidian, Indigo, Frost and Limoncello. Obsidian is a sleek black with understated sophistication. Indigo is a bold royal blue like the “Really Blue” Pixel from 2017, eye catching but refined. Frost is a pale blue like the iPhone 15, and Limoncello is yellow-green, playful yet bold.

Physically the Pixel 10 is similar to the Pixel 9, 152.8 x 72 x 8.6mm (slightly thicker than the 8.5mm Pixel 9) with a 6.3 inch flat display and minimal bezels. The pill shaped camera bar protrudes 3.4mm from the back but the base model has a new triple camera system, a first for a non-Pro Pixel. It has a 48MP main sensor, 12MP ultrawide and 10.8MP telephoto with 5x optical zoom.
The Pixel 10 is powered by the Tensor G5 chip, built on TSMC’s 3nm process (a departure from the Samsung made Tensor chips that had overheating and performance issues). Early reports suggest the G5 is more efficient and power tailored for the Pixel. It has a 6.3 inch FHD+ 120Hz display protected by Gorilla Glass Victus 2, a 4,970mAh battery with 29W wired and 15W Qi2 wireless charging and a slight capacity bump over the Pixel 9.
Android 16 is pre-installed with new features yet to be announced. An upgraded in-display fingerprint scanner and enhanced stereo speakers make the Pixel 10 feel polished rather than revolutionary.
Pricing is uncertain. The Pixel 9 launched at $799 for 128GB, but with a $100 increase from the Pixel 8, the Pixel 10 might hit $849. Google must justify the cost, especially with the base model now boasting Pro-level camera capabilities. Pre-orders begin August 20, with shipping expected by August 28, alongside the Pixel 10 Pro, Pro XL, and Pro Fold at the Made by Google event. Renders also reveal matte sides on the base model, a shift from the glossy finish of past non-Pro Pixels, lending a more premium feel.
