AppleCare One Offers A New Way to Protect Your Apple Gear for $19.99 Per Month

Apple has launched AppleCare One, a new device protection plan that bundles coverage for multiple devices into one easy package. For just $19.99 a month you can cover up to three Apple devices—like an iPhone, iPad or Apple Watch—under one plan.

It includes all the benefits of AppleCare+: unlimited repairs for accidents like drops or spills, 24/7 priority access to Apple’s support team and battery coverage to keep your devices running smoothly. But it goes further, adding theft and loss protection—previously only for iPhones—to iPads and Apple Watches. If you’ve lost an Apple Watch or had an iPad go missing, this could be a game changer. The flat $19.99 monthly fee covers any combination of three devices, potentially saving you up to $11 a month compared to separate AppleCare+ plans.

Unlike AppleCare+ which requires enrollment within 60 days of purchase, AppleCare One allows devices up to four years old to be covered, as long as they’re in good condition. AirPods can also be included, but they must be less than a year old. Apple may require a diagnostic check on your iPhone, iPad or at an Apple Store to make sure the device is functional before adding it.

Managing the plan is, as always, super easy and can be done directly on the Apple device itself. Trade in a covered device to Apple and they’ll transfer the coverage to the new one. As a monthly subscription there’s no long term commitment, you can add or remove devices as your needs change.

By consolidating coverage AppleCare One is more cost effective than individual AppleCare+ plans. If you have an iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch the savings add up over time, especially with the added theft and loss protection and support for older devices. Apple’s pitch is simple: one plan, one payment, one support contact, no more managing multiple plans with different expirations.
