2010 Alfa Romeo TZ3 Stradale Zagato Reaches $325K at Auction, is a Dodge Viper ACR in Disguise

To celebrate its 2010 centennial, Alfa Romeo released the TZ3 Stradale Zagato, a supercar limited to 9-units that combined Italian design with American muscle. Now, build number #4 is on Bring a Trailer and it’s a real showstopper, not just because of its rarity.

The TZ3 Stradale pays homage to the 1960s Tubolare Zagato models and features a carbon fiber body by Zagato built on a Dodge Viper ACR-X chassis. Finished in deep metallic blue it has a Kamm-back tail, double-bubble roof, and iconic scudetto grille with triple-element headlights and side-exit exhausts. Recent maintenance in June 2025 included spark plugs, rebuilt steering rack and new coilovers.

The interior blends luxury with Viper roots and has tan leather bucket seats, dashboard and door panels with “TZ3 Stradale” embroidery, Chrysler switchgear and a Dodge head unit. With only 1,900 miles the interior is near-pristine and offers a unique mix of sophistication and raw character.

The carbon fiber rear hatch lowers like a pickup tailgate and adds an unusual touch, providing limited cargo access that requires careful handling. This is a feature that says the car is art over practicality and makes it a supercar.

Chassis 1B3AZ6JZ4AV100005 was damaged in the rear in 2011 and was masterfully restored by Zagato. It comes with a clean Montana title as a Dodge Viper, build photos, material samples and the original Dodge window sticker.

It was originally priced over $1 million and a TZ3 sold for $632,000 last August above the $450,000-$550,000 estimate. The current auction ends August 1, 2025 and the bidding is at $325,000 with a $675,000 reserve. For collectors this is a once in a lifetime chance to own a piece of automotive history.
