Samsung’s Galaxy S series has been the benchmark for Android smartphones and the Galaxy S26 Pro is shaping up to be a big one. Fresh CAD renders give us a clear look at the design and rumors of increased specs paint a picture of a device that will be in a crowded market. With the iPhone 17 out, Samsung’s next flagship is getting attention and it’s expected to make a splash.

The design of the S26 Pro feels like an evolution of the S25, with a few subtle changes to make it its own. The phone has the same sleek, minimalist look Samsung has perfected over the years—flat glass back, rounded corners and slim profile. At 149.3 x 71.4 x 6.96mm (or 10.23mm with the camera bump), it’s slightly taller, wider and thinner than the S25. This allows for a 6.3-inch display, a small bump up from the S25. The frame is aluminum and curves at the edges for a comfortable grip and the glass back is premium. All physical buttons—power and volume—are on the right side, same as the S25.

Unlike the S25 where the lenses protruded directly from the back, the S26 Pro has the three cameras on a pill-shaped island. This design gives the phone a fresh look and keeps the camera arrangement clean and purposeful. Rumors say the ultrawide camera will get a 50-megapixel sensor, a big jump from the 12-megapixel in the S25. Details on the main and telephoto cameras are scarce but expectations are high for improvements across the board. The front camera is in a small hole-punch at the center of the screen and blends in seamlessly with the display surrounded by thin uniform bezels.

The Galaxy S26 Pro will likely be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip, possibly branded as “for Galaxy” with an overclocked boost. Some markets might get the Exynos chip instead, which will spark debate among fans. Memory is another area of interest—16GB of RAM, up from 12GB in the S25, to support advanced AI features. Battery life might get a bump too, with a 4,300mAh cell compared to the S25’s 4,000mAh. But Samsung is sticking to traditional battery tech instead of silicon-carbon cells, so no fast charging or longer battery life…for now.

Wireless charging gets a boost with built in magnets for Qi2 support, so the S26 Pro is on par with Apple and Google. This should be more reliable and efficient wireless charging, but may mean no more Wireless PowerShare (the feature Samsung calls reverse wireless charging). If you use wireless charging to top up your earbuds or smartwatch, this might be a trade off to watch.

The S26 Pro’s display is another highlight, 6.3 inches for a bit more room to play. No details on resolution or refresh rate yet, but Samsung’s track record says it’s an AMOLED panel with smooth scrolling and great visuals. It’s expected to launch in Q1 2026, likely January, which means the S26 Pro is shaping up to be a refinement of the flagship formula.
