Forget Jurassic Park, a Dino-Charged Thrill Ride Awaits in Eggspedition

Forget Jurassic Park, Eggspedition from Wildflame Studio will be released in late 2025 and is a co-op shooter/survival horror set on wild planets with dinosaurs. You play as Vector Unit 9, a task force sent to unexplored worlds where the only way out is to clutch a valuable dinosaur egg.

You start in a drop pod, speeding towards a Class X-13 planet with rainforests, rocky peaks and mineral veins. But there’s a catch, these worlds are full of dinosaurs, from stealthy velociraptors hunting in packs to towering T. rexes that can freeze you with a single roar. Every mission has one simple rule: “No egg, no evac”. Whether you’re retrieving a lost egg, collecting resources from a volcanic crater or defending a predator infested zone the stakes are high.

The co-op experience is built for up to 4 players and is all about teamwork. Coordination is key, one player scans the terrain, another provides cover fire and someone else carries the egg through a maze of snapping teeth. Solo mode is available but the game really comes alive when you’re shouting callouts to your teammates, deciding in a split second who takes the lead and who guards the back.

Each planet has a mix of abandoned buildings and natural environments full of secrets and dangers. Missions vary greatly so no two runs feel the same. One minute you’re crawling through a decrepit research lab, the next you’re running from raptor ambushes in a hazy forest.

Gear progression keeps you coming back for more. Credits and materials earned during missions can be used to upgrade weapons, fortify suits and unlock devices to help you win. A better rifle could mean the difference between repelling a group of deinonychus and becoming their lunch.

The game looks stunning, probably powered by Unreal Engine 5, with lush environments and terrifyingly realistic dinosaurs. The trailer shows a living landscape, from rustling leaves to bone rattling stomps of a charging animal. While the engine can handle the graphics, system requirements are unknown, with only 15GB of storage for Windows 10/11. Processor and graphics requirements are TBA so keep an eye on Steam for updates.
